Intracorneal Ring Implant
Intracorneal Ring Implant
The implant of intrastromal rings is an additive technique in which the tissue tension forces are modified, producing direct effect on the corneal thickness and hinge effect raising the tissue between the segments. They also have other indirect effects:
Moves the corneal apex toward the center of the pupil. |
Flatten both the center and the corneal periphery, although more in the center, which keeps the prolate shape of the cornea. |
